So I unhooked the neg. battery terminal and now when I reattach it the damn horn blows and continues to blow. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to TacomaWorld.

What you didn't tell us is WHY you disconnected the negative battery cable. What maintenance or mod did you perform?

Did you lean against the horn (under the hood, not on the steering wheel) and pinch the wire or connector and ground it out? More info is needed before any assistance can be given.

Removing the head unit and putting in an I pod adapter. No pinched wires..really didn't touch anything other than the 10MM bolt on the neg. terminal.

Without pulling teeth, A more descriptive account of what you did NEEDS to be explained. Did you pull the dash apart? Did you tap into the fuse panel? (if yes did you tap into the correct fuse?) Is it hard wired or cigarette/12v adapter? What type of adapter? Store Bought or an EBay "GEM' of a deal?

Some of these IPod adapters can be an involved process to install. Is it a factory headunit or aftermarket?

The more info you can provide keeps us from cutting off the leg trying to fix an ingrown toenail.

It's a Perpherial (sp?) that plugs in the empty jack in the back of the JBL factory 6 disc had unit.

Removed the head unit per the tutorial on here ...no problem with that.

Update... It seems that it set off the alarm system and the battery is dead on my key fob so I was unable to reset it.

Thanks for your "GEMS" of wisdom though.

Good to know it all worked out. Next step would of been to reverse your steps, disconnect the unit and see if the horn continued to sound.

Check the alarm. Mine did that when I did some service. Have your remote in hand when it goes off , shut it off. This should do it.

You are correct. When my Tacoma was new I was fuk'n around checking things out. I pulled a fuse and when I reinstalled it the damn horn went berserk! Hit your remote and that'll take care of it.
