I have a Silver Streak Mica '10 Tacoma I bought the color matched grille and it doesn't quite match. I don't know if that is just the way it is. At some angles and lighting situations it matches good, other times it looks like a completly different shade of grey. Anybody elese have this problem. I think I got this grill from TRDParts4U or one of them sites that had them for $175.

Paint on plastic is almost never gonna match steel...unless it's painted at the same time, same place. Even then, in time........

Dats why U go chrome. :D

My radiant red grill has always been a shade off. Came from the factory that way. Still looks better than chrome. LOL

Most fender flares are a tad off as well. Some of it is the texture of the material being painted.

    Over time...it only gets worse.

I have a silver mica 2010 Sport that has a color matched grill.

I bought a chrome grill to Satoshi it and kept my factory original without modification.

I didn't think that I'll be able to color match perfectly with the body color. If you try and it doesn't match, then you or others will notice it. But with the chrome, it's a universal fit.

With my Satoshi modifcation now, the chrome looks more like an upgrade with the perforated mesh and Toyota grille emblem. I'm happy with the outcome, even though just chrome.

I wouldn't consider trying to color match over the chrome, that's just asking for trouble.
