I was prying on something trying to hook up dual horns on my truck and the thing I was prying on rejected the screwdriver, so the screwdriver decided to make friends with my hand. But instead it raped my hand. I stabbed into the area in between my thumb and pointer finder directly into that webbing of skin. It was dripping blood and I went inside pored hydrogen peroxide on it and kept dabbing it with a cotton ball till the bleeding stopped. Now its got a band aid on it. My dad says it'll be fine but my hand is numb and I can barely type. Yeah the things I do to mod my truck. Well I though you should share your stories hurting yourself why'll working on your trucks since I started :annoyed:

I was changing the diff fluid in mine. I had removed the skid plates, changed the fluid and was hanging the skid plate back up. I am laying right under the seperation of the two looking for a bolt with one hand and holding the front plate up with the other. Wouldn't you know the bolts I need are just out of reach. F**K. So I release the front plate (it has these little tabs) to grab a bolt. With my hand close under it, I waited a few seconds to make sure it didn't fall. Ok, cool. I turn my head to where the bolts are and wriggle on my back to reach them. Just as soon as I turned my head, didn't that sumbitchin' plate come down and smack me right below the eyebrow. I got up, said some choice words and went back about my business. I finished cleaning up and as I am looking around to make sure I got everything, I feel something like sweat hit my hand. It was pretty warm that day so that's what I though it was. I look down and see a nice big drop of blood. Well, that's par for the course for me. So I thought I should go check the damge out. I looked in the mirror and I have a nice 1/2 long split at the top of my eye socket.

Too many to count....and I've got lots of scars (I just can't remember how they got there). I get that at work and at home.

The worst things (for me), is the fact that I'm not all that strong (I'm a girl :D). So in a lot of cases, I'm putting my ASS into it and when those bolts let go.....my hands/arms/elbows usually end up hitting something. OUCH!!

Right now? Big bruise on my leg from work. Scuffed skin on my elbow from changing my mother-in-laws brakes on her vehicle. Cut my finger today on some sharp metal taking the hubs apart on the jeep.

I'm getting too old to wrench on stuff....

^^^^I would have to agree with yall. I was replacing a belt on a older body style chrysler 300, had my 1/2 inch drive flex head snap-on ratchet loosening the tensioner and it slipped and came back and busted me right in my lip. Had to get 3 of the stitches for the inside of my mouth to close it back up. Lets see another time i was putting an engine in a 2500 ram, cummins diesel, and was trying to get the trans back in when my hand slipped and caught the trans pan and put a nice big gash in my thumb down at the bottom by my palm, that almost cut the tendoin. That one took 3 stiches inside to repair the sheath and 10 on the outside to put my thumb/palm back together.

Good question. Only they know when they are happy or not until you have to have surgery, and still dont think they will be.

I've had a few scrapes and cuts, and some hot liquids spill on me, but most of my injuries occur in home improvement projects around the house (knocks on wood that hits him in face)

I was opening a package with a switch blade. It slipped off the zip tie and stabbed me on the bone of my thumb (lower part towards wrist)

I was lucky. I looked at the bloody knife....blood covered up the whole top of the blade
