Met up with @Wishbone Runner for a few days in Moab over the last couple days. First off, big thanks to James for planning this trip, convincing me to go, and organizing a place to stay. It would have been a tad bit chilly to be camping.

Anyways, I was unfortunately stuck doing adult things on Tuesday, so I didn't roll in until that evening, and James made a quick solo run to Picture Frame Arch. At first a little disappointed to see snow on the ground, but this only added to the beautiful scenery, and prompted us to explore some areas we wouldn't otherwise hit.

Wednesday was spent exploring a lot of roads Northwest of town, including the Bartlett wash area, Dellenbaugh tunnel, Secret Spire, Spring Canyon Point, a bit of Crystal Geyser, and ending with Long Canyon.

Usually I never take pictures, but I got a DSLR, and I know nothing about cameras, so I was was playing with it quite a lot. Some pictures came out pretty good, a lot didn't.

Friday we hit Onion Creek, hoping to make it to the bottom on Rose Garden Hill. We both knew Rose Garden in the snow would be next to impossible, but we wanted to check out it. What we found was much more snow up that way, some slick slip and slides, and we did some winching. We ended up turning around before we even made it to the bottom on the actual hill.

Bueno, except for the sideways pics o_O

I have a few cool ones on my phone.

Also, almost lost a wheel on the way home yesterday?!?!?!? Missing a sheared stud and all the lugs on that wheel were hand tight

Great pictures! I almost feel like winter is a great time to go because there are so few people around. When I ran fins and things I only ran into a father and son in there side-by-sides. Camping gets a little chilly though.

It was nice with few people around, only saw maybe 10 other people in 4 days on the trails. Thought about camping but glad we didn't, never got above freezing, and was 0 or so every night.

I'll try to fix those. Photobucket has given me issues recently, so trying Flickr. The pictures appeared correct on Flickr, but not when I linked them. Who knows.

I should probably also link smaller ones, as they take forever to load...

And that's crazy! Did you feel a vibration and check it?

Glad you caught it before you lost the wheel at interstate speeds!

Wish I could have joined you guys. If work hadn't decided to work this week, I would have been there. But I guess being an adult come first some times.

    Never! :lalala:

Unfortunately, I'll have to learn it if I want all that fancy truck stuff. Got tired of getting beat up trying to chase good suspension with my OME. Some of those roads would have been so much more fun with a proper mid-travel setup.

Wish I could have made this one
I like how the snow in this pick shows how you scampered up like a little bunny to get the shot
