    That depends on where you measure and the kind of load etc, but I’ve used it with a ram arm 4” long with a clamp and an old iPad mounted at right angles. So a if a pound haging 4” in front of the dash was held on pretty firmly I’d say it’s strong enough. And that’s using the far en of the mount. It’s sturdy enough for most applications I’m sure.
