Dealer just installed the 4-pack recall leaf springs and I was able to get them to reinstall the AAL. They placed the shim between the AAL and the overload spring. I thought that it went between the overload and the axle? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The AAL goes above the overload and the shim goes under it with the small end forward.

Can you send pics? I am about 3 days away from placing order for AAL and had just posted a question as to whether the AAL would cause bad vibes or wear on the carrier bearing and u-joints and whether or not I should get shims? Here are pics of mine Recall replacement pack. Looks rather flat ever since and rides all loosey goosey .IMG_2433.jpgIMG_2441.jpgIMG_2439.jpg

    yep..
I have the 4 leaf tsb pack like you have and put a wheelers 1.5 AAL in. I have some small vibes on takeoff but that's it. Looking for others experiences with this setup and what shim they used to correct angles. I'd like to get rid of my vibrations even though they're minor.

    yep..
Yes the shim should be directly on the axle seat below the overload, just like a lift block.
