You can buy ubolts at a auto parts store. Just take your stock bolts and find something that matches but longer. You can always cut off the excess.

Great write up! looks like it went a lot smoother than when i did it (Non-TSB though). Just added them to mine, with bilstein shocks all around, and Eibach front coils shocks at .85", does anyone else run this set up, if so, does your rear sit higher?

Thanks for both the write ups on replacing front shocks and adding rear AAL's Chris! Allowed me to install my lift kit in 7 hours solo.

(even had to register just to give the props! Amazing forum, but they make me wanna spend too much money. :D

    Just did this...
    By myself...

Great write-up Chris, the biggest thing ive ever done it my satoshi or BHLM and this write-up made the installation as easy as it could.
With that being said, some parts were a bitch and a half to do by myself. All in all it took me about 4 hours start to finish.

As of now... completely stock, but hopefully not for long
This is great! I've always been a change my own oil and basic maintenance kinda guy, but have been apprehensive to say the least to do any real mechanical work on my own. I bought my first new vehicle last year (2010 TRD OR). I've admired and have wanted a Yota truck for atleast 20 years. As soon as I drove my Taco home I've high aspirations to install more mods than I could ever afford. One of the big things that has kept me from doing mods is the cost of having them installed. Thanks to guys like this I'm feeling confident that I can perform many of these mods on my own. I'm installing my first real mod this week (K&R 63 cool air kit) and plan to do AAL in the next few months, although still not sure about front struts all on my own. Thanks to all the helpful folks on here that have made my mod dreams a little closer. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Same for me. Just ordered 1.5 aal from toytec and Ben told me I could use stock with this 1.5 leaf. Can anyone confirm this cuz don't want to get everything apart and find out I need to order some after the fact.

Your truck is new enough that you could use the stock U bolts without issue.

Thanks. Do the aal come with new centering pin? Was thinking about setting front 5100s to 2.5 to level out truck. Have a toolbox on truck and occasionally pull trailer with atv on it. Should I set it at 1.75 instead.

I'll be using this for my install. The boxes say DO NOT OPEN UNTIL CHRISTMAS...so I'm getting all the install lessons I can before then.

I just installed the Toyotec coils with the 5100 billies and TSB AAL on my 2010 Double cab short bed. Truck rides and looks good, just need some tires and wheels. But great thread almost used it like a quick reference, I had the lift complete except the alignment in 4 hours. Thanks.
