I'm wondering if my fabtech rears will be too long for my dakars. Might have to roll stockers until I can do hoops/shackle flip and hydro bumps

First CV I did went way too smooth. This one has been a nightmare. Had to use a puller on the tulip and cut the half shaft so I can get the stub pressed out. The slide hammer pipe trick did not work. I tried that for about an hour. :anonymous:

Phew, Got it apart. Went to a local drive shaft shop that has a serious press (100 ton) and he was able to get it pressed out. The e clip didn't break, it held strong and actually sheared the splines off the shaft. Luckily I was able to use a punch and dead blow to clean out the splines, then pry the bastard clip out. old guy said he'd never seen one so tough.

Not bad. Didn't weigh em but compared to my other tire/wheel combo they are noticeably lighter weight. rim is like 32 lbs according to shipping weight.

They aren't fun to mount, be warned. I still have to do my other one. Hoping it'll go smoother now I have the technique down. Last time I mounted bead locks was carbon fiber dual locks on my banshee
