Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Sell Alcans...buy Dakar or Expos. Install shackle flip. Research done!

Alcans been gone, I have Dakars now. Main debate is to do the shock relocate, or just do a set up like Linwood and eventually do a space saver bed cage with hydro bumps

Soooooo that's easy. Get shackle flip. Run whatever shocks your want for crawling with us and if you get to west coast have bed cage built by the many fabricators out there...

I'm liking my BAMF kit with the Kings but you want Moar shocks...glam.

I just don't want to have to do re-work. Might just roll like Linwood with no shock relocate & proper length shocks until I decide. Or just do the pelfreybilt hoops. Tight timeline for MOAB though.

Even in a crawling situation, when I put the SUA kit on, it blew my mind how well the truck did on rugged crawling trails, maybe one day in the future we will wheel tpgether homer!

How did you like the difference between stock suspension and your current set up... huge difference in ride?

Also how is the Line-X holding up on your sliders?

I couldn't even tell you the difference from stock to now. I had the drop bracket lift for pretty much the entire life of the truck (had 300 miles on it prior to install)

The LT set up rides much better then the drop bracket. Big difference is quality coil overs and proper spring rate.

Line x was a bad idea, great for mall crawling. I have chunks missing from rocks etc.

But did it ride better compared to stock driving, from what you remember.. or did you install the drop bracket lift too early on to tell?

Ah yeah that would pose a problem when actually utilizing the slides for their intended use...

Ordered some skids...a full set of Pelfreybilt's. Even got them powdercoated because I'm sick of spray painting shit. They we're kind enough to hold them for me since I'm deployed!

Next is figure out my rear suspension....might just do a flip and proper length Icon 2.5's until its time for SUA/Bed cage.

Why powder coated? You gonna regret that when you have to paint all the rock rash...

    Aside from that... Fuck yeah!

Who said skids have to be pretty...just paint over the rock rash with spray paint. :D My main concern was the paint on the topside holding up and its nearly the same cost if not more to prime/rattle can all of them

Paint doesn't stick to powder coat without primer and being roughed up. I just painted my front bumper and it was pretty involved vice just spraying over the rock rash.

It'll stick good enough for something I plan on dragging over rocks and beating the piss out of lol

Bumpers, sliders etc I agree skip the powder coat. But for $40 a skid I'm all for it
