Hey guys. Just curious what all you experienced buyers think of this. Does it look like a good deal?
This is basically what the dealer presented me with, no negotiating (yet). I went home to think about it and said I'd get back to them.
This is through the COSTCO program and in a state without sales tax.

Not bad. My TRD OR AC without the tech package was 36 OTD. That included LED fogs/puddle lights/footwells, all weather mats, and tow package.

My trd sport DCLB 4x4 was 37,443 before registration and I got the hard tri fold tonneau cover included with the price. All I have is the tow package cause the truck does come well equipped in my opinion already for the trd sport, and I didn't feel the need to get blind spot monitoring or a jbl sound system.

Seems about right for Costco - you're lucky you found a dealership that includes Tacomas in their program.

I got my identically configured TRD OR down to $35,082 w/o the tonneau cover, and I was really happy with my deal!

ETA: So you're a whopping $72 over what I paid.

    Thanks! Feedback rules!

Yes, my new state of residence, Montana, has no sales tax. I'm buying in the northeast U.S. though.
If I were to pay sales tax, the total OTD price would be similar to the MSRP price. I feel like I've seen people getting better deals than that... Could be wrong. It does seem pretty good though.

I think the only way you would do better is with employee pricing. Usually with that you get 10% off and alot of the doc fees are waved. My SR5, for instance listed about 34700 and I paid 31400 not including sales tax.

WITH tax (CO) I paid a total of $37,482. MSRP w/o tax was $37,828. Again, I felt I got a very good deal as I bull-shitted them down a good $2,600.

It's hard to see what other guys paid in states with sales tax versus those without. Considering that I would have been damn close to $40K WITH tax at MSRP.

    ...and GTROTTER is totally right.

I paid about $1,000 less for a 2016 DCSB TRD OR 4x4 6MT back in June. The 6AT is about $1,000 more than the 6MT, but I'd think you might be able to get a double cab at that price.

This should help you!!! I have almost the identical truck I bought in Jan. Mine did not have the tonneau cover but it had other dealer options. My MSRP was higher but I got it for $35000 OTD. See copy of my post (#1257 and 1259 in What are you paying thread) below:

    Purchase date 5 January 2017

2017 TRD Sport 4x4 Access Cab V6 Automatic White
    Sport Package
    Premium Technology Package
    Tow Package
    Carpet Mats
    Paint Protection
    ToyoGuard Platinum
    Nitro in Tires

    MSRP $38,136.95
Doc Fee $649 not included in MSRP
    $38,136.95+$649 =$38,785.95

    $35,000 OTD before tax/license/title.
    $38,785.95 - $35,000= $3785.95 Discount
    $3,785.95/$38,785.95 = 9.7% Discount

The $35,000 price does include the dealer doc fee.
I could not pass up this deal but I had to go out of state to get it!

Dealer was Palmer Toyota in Mobile AL. They were eager/willing to negotiate!
Call Ann Phoutphong at 1-251-639-0800. She was wonderful to deal with.

This site has been very helpful in helping me craft what I believe is a good deal. Hopefully this info will help you.

Found my old post about what I paid for mine, it's a bit more detailed than what I posted here earlier:
    • $33730 - TRD OFF ROAD DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 AUTO (black)
    • $900 - Delivery processing and handling
    • $2330 - OR/Sport Prem & Tech Pkg (non JBL/DC Only)
    • $650 - Towing Package
    • $209 - Carpet Floor Mats w/Door Sill (Got all-weather mats instead, don't remember the difference in price but it wasn't much)
    • ----------------
    • $37819 (MSRP)
I got out of there for $35,174 before TTL.

Are you single? Think hard about the access cab.

Decent deal. I wouldn't feel bad buying it at that price with out having to haggle. You can probably squeeze out a few more bucks if you pressed it.
