Hello everyone. I will be the new owner of a 2005 Tacoma 4 cylinder, access cab, 5 speed hopefully this weekend. It has 80k miles.

I have been doing some reading around here and there are lots of info.

If anyone has any tips on what to look for, check, when I go see it this weekend please speak up. I would like to have as much knowledge as I can.

Im moving up from a 93 Ranger.

I don't need more power. Already have an SUV that I can use to haul big stuff if I need to. I need something with good gas mileage.

LOL. now that's the other extreme. I have been commuting on my motorcycle since my Ranger died on me. Can't complain when I'm getting 55 mpg. Can the Prius touch that?

well, I guess I meant better than my Tahoe, may ranger got 23mpg all day long, better than being in the teens like my Tahoe is. I know low 20's is still not that great mpg but...
I wish Toyota would bring the diesel small truck here

You'll still be in the teens with a Tacoma. A car really is the best option if mpg is the goal.

    EDIT: Welcome, btw.

As promised, here are a couple of pics of my new Taco. I've got a couple of questions but I will do a search first and if I can't find the answer I will post.
