    I still have the rugged fails on, I will be switching them out probably for next winter I'd like to get at least 15K out of them.

    A few questions: what's the female part size as well as the connector size for the ground? Are they 18 gauge connectors? Does 18 gauge connect to this ultra-mini switch? How did ya'll end up keeping the wire on the switch? Solder? Is that black heat wrap, too? Sorry. Not easy for me since I try staying away from wires....

    Aaaaaand, nothing. Using 18 gauge wire, soldered wire to switch, generally everything else is the same. Anyone have ideas? Bit scared to pull off the t-splice.

    Edit: perhaps paranoid, but there's a hint of wood burning in the air....

    The splice probably didn't cut through the ABS wire.

    heheh No worries. Thanks! Yeah, the first time I clicked it in hard and spun it a few times, but nothing. Unclipped to the t-splice, spun it a few more times, and it worked. A bit janky, still, but at least I know it's the connector if anything.

    I usually strip a piece out and then put the t tap. Most of the time if you just click over the wire, it won't cut through.

    Anyone have issues switching to 4lo after the mod? This is the first time I've tried after a successful install, and this mod is the only thing I can think of that may not be allowing me to engage 4lo.
    EDIT: I'm gonna check the front actuator since Aaron's thread lends to my issue being that.

    No issues with mine either although I haven't tried it with the switch on and then engaging the 4LO. I've gone from 2HI to 4HI with the switch on plenty of times with no problem though. (by switch on I mean ABS turned off)

    All threads and suggestions are now pointing to a front actuator. Just had to be sure it wasn't this since it was the only electrical thing done since last using 4lo. I'll be taking it to the dealer soon. :cheers:

    Hey just a quick question I read through all 20 pages of this and noticed only one person who used the switch to disable the VSC light they were getting after lifting their truck and putting on bigger tires. This is mainly what I will be using the mod for if I have issues as I am putting on a 3" OME lift and adding 33" tires. Will this mod fix the driving problems as far as VSC goes after the lift and tires? Is there anyone else here who used the mod exclusively because of problems caused by a lift or bigger tires?

    You need to have your VSC recalibrated by dealer or competent tech. You can do it yourself if you're technically inclined and have a copy of the procedure.

    Using this mod for daily street or highway driving would put your life and your passengers life in unnecessary danger.
