Got mine re-done today with the switches I linked. Look factory, I like it a lot better than the junk thing I first used.

I'd like to do this mod on my SR5. Especially after I install some stainless lines and better rotors and pads.

Hey Guys - Not to go too far off-topic, but I can't find a way to make the VSC-OFF switch (button) "sticky" across re-starts. I know the mod in this thread will disable VSC as well as ABS - but for daily street use, I simply want to engage the stock VSC-OFF system (VSC-OFF + Auto LSD Indicators on dash) - without having to press the button every time I get into the truck (2015 TRD/OR).

My initial thought was to identify the switched (+) lead on the back of the VSC-OFF button and simply supply a non-switched source to it, thinking that this would allow the switch to 'remember' the selected position between restarts. This definitely didn't work and produced some strange behavior including blown fuses under 30 AMP when the button was depressed. When I supplied power through a 30 AMP fused supply, the fuse held, but the engine expressed a load and VSC-OFF was *not* engaged when the button was depressed.

Defaulting back to stock, everything seems to be back to normal, but I'm no closer to figuring this out.

Anyways, after searching every which to Sunday - this thread comes up more than anything else, so I thought I'd reach out to all of the big brains here :)

Any ideas would be appreciated - I think I'l l also pull a complete wiring diagram for the VSC-OFF from techinfo.toyota.com - unless someone has it handy.

Ok guys I need a little help. Did this mod with a cheap radio shack spst switch and it worked beautifully. Now I'm trying to upgrade to a more oem switch from air on board. I know exactly nothing about wiring. I've spent the last couple of days trying to learn. So here's what I'm thinking please help me out if I'm wrong. The goal is to have the switch light up and dim when my dash lights do. So.
1: I'm not pushing a large amount of current so a relay is likely unnecessary.
2: red wire to positive side of the switch mod.
3: green wire to the ground side of the switch mod.
4: splice the blue wire into a wire that lights up one of my oem switches
5: black wire grounded wherever is handy.
Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance for the help. :) IMG_0061.jpgIMG_0063.jpg

This work on 2014 trd? If so can you flip switch on and off as you drive or do you need to be stopped for this?
