Ok.. I haven't finished installing my CB yet (yes this has something to do with the ABS... maybe?), but since I wired power (directly to battery) I have had random times where the ABS light comes on when starting the truck, blinks slow twice, then just rapidly flashes the entire time the truck is running. If I shut it off, wait a few and turn it back on, light goes away. I ran the cables (power and the coax for antenna) through one of the grommets in the firewall, which pops out between the brake and gas pedals. Could I have accidently knocked something loose under the dash?

Info on the truck itself is in the sig..

On my 98, when the brake fluid got low, the ABS light came on and stayed, maybe its kinda low and sloshing, causing it to flash?

not sure about knocking a wire loose around the firewall... how are your wheel bearings? if they are shot it can trip abs light also. or is it just when the truck is running (not moving)

Running, both not moving and moving. I actually had the front jacked up yesterday, checked wheel bearings, etc. all good (minus the slight issue I have with the passenger side being outta alignment spec, but that has been that way for a bit, without tripping the ABS.) I'll check the fluids and just make sure I did pull anything loose under the dash... beyond that, maybe I'll just pull the ABS fuse :D

Not sure how long ago your lift was done but check the wiring/plugs on your wheel sensors up front too..........

Sadly, lift hasn't been done yet. :(
Gotta get new leaf springs for the back, the add-a-leafs aren't gonna help with the old springs sagging. sigh..

Found a fix at TTora. If you have a scan gauge 2 plugged in it can set the ABS light off. Mine was blinking and once i unplugged the scangauge it stopped. I called Scangauge and they are sending me a new cable. There could be problems with pins.

This makes sense. My light seem to start coming on after I installed my Scangauge II. I am going to look into this.

A couple days if that. I had it plugged/unplugged several times though due to other mods that were going on.

Call up the people who make it, or email them. Tell them the make, model, year, etc. They sent me a new cable, no ABS light issue with the new one. Someone said something earlier I think about one of the pins being bad (or maybe not going to the correct spot?) Dunno, but it's fixed.

Just put in scangauge 2 and the ABS started to blink after 2 days.. so I have to call and ask for a cable for my specific year/model? WTF? why would they put in a stock cable with this deficiency?

Good luck with this one...my abs light was stuck on permanently and the dealer quoted me $800 to replace the abs module. I was fine with it as real drivers don't need abs.

Not sure what runs under the dash for the ABS.. make sure you didn't loop the CB wires or antenna around anything concerning the brake pedal.
