Quick question. Leaving for work this morning, start up '05 Doublecab Prerunner, ABS light comes on. Tried to back out of drive, and can hear tires chirping. Pull back in, same thing in drive. The rears will lock, then release, lock, and release. I'm not too familiar with the wheel sensors, but from the symptoms, I'm assuming this might be the case ? I had new calipers and rotors put on the front last year in August, and they just adjusted the rears. The shoes looked almost new. Has anyone else had this happen, and what was the fix ???

Something could be something broken in the drum itself, or they could be frozen. I had the drums freeze up on me in an older truck.

I'd remove the ABS relay and try it again. This will help determine if the issue is with the brakes or the ABS system

Unplug the connectors and clean the terminals. Maybe a little corrosion is causing bad connection :notsure:

Bfoster is the winner !!! In 8 years of owning my Taco, I have NEVER EVER used the diff lock. Somehow, when my 16 yr. old son pulled it in the driveway last night, he must have pushed it, instead of the fog light switch, which is next to it. So, all is good in the world again ! Thanks for the replies !

The top left blank is where my fog light switch is from the factory so you might not have to extend the wires. I've got 3 light switches across the top now with my additions (and no switches on the bottom :().
