AC compressor...

Cold side works perfect.
Hot side works perfect.
Compressor kicks on when not requested while I'm running the heat. No matter where I set the air flow.
Does not kick on when system is shut off.

Has anyone seen this? I haven't been able to discovery anything through my searching the WWW.

05 Taco, 2.7L, 5-spd base model, nothing special except for the 1400 watts under the seat and the holster under the steering column.

 

Standard ops to assist with defrost, regardless of vent settings.

Windshield defroster heat setting turns on AC compressor to dehumidify.

 

Even if the compressor switch isn't activated?

 

A/C is forced on in the Defrost and Floor/Defrost positions, if you want to disable this behavior see the thread below for the mod.
