I have an AC utility, I know it's not a 3rd Gen but the package looks to be the same for the rear.

I had to wait about 4 months but it was worth it to me. Picked it up last July.

    2015 AC 4-cyl 5-spd 4x4.

But I added convenience package to get factory keyless, leather wheel, power mirrors and cruise.

    Sure do,

Well the perimeter does, the lid has a slight recess which makes them stackable and they hold my cooler. The thing I needed was a storage box that I could get to when my seat is adjusted for me. At 6'4" my seat isn't back all the way but close.

I have a pic of them somewhere, I tried about three different ones before I found a match. Real nice guy at Wal-Mart let me walk them out and test fit them.

    10-4,

They work great for me, I do want to build a nice flat wooden floor though. Covered in some speaker cabinet carpet. Then put some of the metal tracks with the moveable o-rings on it. I want to store stuff in the cab but you learn as a LEO if it isn't tied down it can go anywhere!

For sure, I was thinking some sort of deck built over those storage bins, that way the space underneath wouldn't be wasted and I could get to things easier. Like the track idea. And I respect and appreciate you being a LEO, I come from a family of police officers

Hey, that's my truck! First one I've seen exactly like mine. Got it in July of 15 also. Still have no idea why we don't have the badge on the doors.

Ha, cool beans! My twin taco!

Yeah I have no idea why.

OK so I lied, they sit just below....AND they are Hefty brand not the sterilite.

I got back from dinner with the wife and took this pic.

I remember trying out the different ones because it's kind of a lesser of two evils as I have a full floor liner back there from Weathertech and I wanted the perimeter of the Weathertech to kind of seat around the bin. The bins are short enough left to right that when they are flush on the outside as when you open the door there is about 5-6" of room for me to put small stuff near the center hump on the floor.

This is the Sterilite which I could get to sit flush but look where the bin is riding in relation to the floor mat. I basically had to work with one of the other. If I can locate the thread there is a guy who made the wooden floor model I want so bad just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Wow I really like that utility back. I removed the seats and head rests from mine (2.5 gen) and going to build a platform

    FOUND IT!!!

This is what I would love to do one day. Unless the wife and I can have children, we are trying...If it happens I'll probably be in a DCSB within a year or so.

    http://www.expeditionportal.com/for...-where-it-goes-from-there?p=174042#post174042

I need to just go ahead and remove the box lids and trays and pull the carpet up back there and see whats under it all.

I am really seeking a reason to get the all weather flooring that was an option in 2012-2014 I think and install FJ like flooring, then have a custom storage flat area back there. Ideally I want to trap at least four bolt holes. I want the front to be secured with the rear seat bolts from the front seats. And find some way to secure it near the back wall of the cab.

I would take the floor mat out and put it in storage.

Hobbs. Thanks. I considered making hinged doors to the storage compartments or just hinging the the platform to have access to the storage bins, but to tell the truth, I'm not that good of a carpenter in addition to being fundamentally lazy. I had and '06 AC and didn't get into the storage bins too much. If it becomes an issue, I'll rethink the hinge option.

I actually sold the factory all weather mats and there is now a full width Weathertech back there.

Naw but I am wanting the factory oval bars, live what a 4runner might have.

Had a local guy two months ago put a new set off his 2015 AC taco on craigslist for like 150, I missed em by minutes!

I am going to take a ride tomorrow with the rear wall trim removed to see how loud it is. I would love a wall bolted into the rear seat belt anchors and such. All the welded in nuts are there. Might have to check the local awesome stereo place for help with ideas.
