I've read some information saying the rear center console was optional, but the dealer says no and I can't find any official info on it. Just wondering if anyone has a 09-10 Access Cab without the rear center console? Thanks.

I have removed mine. 4 bolts and you are left with the 5th picture down in this thread http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/59090-first-mod-weekend-my-2010-a.html

Pretty sure it's standard in the AC because not having it would require changing the mounts and sotrage bins in the back area for a 100% clean look. Taken out I think its looks ok and so has everyone who has seen it...the area is for storage anyway so usually covered if you are anal about it. I'm sure you could recarpet and make a lid for the small space if you are super anal lol.

I pulled mine also. I don't think there's an option for it. I think it was Toyota's way of keeping 3 people out of the back.

I keep that stunning med kit that Toyota kicked in in that box. Makes it almost useable.

I miss the back seat cargo area of my 2007.

Fantastic job making your 09+ A/C more functional. Hopefully Toyota notices this trend.
