Anyone know if it's possible to totally remove the storage bins under the rear seats? I kinda want to totally remove them as I've already removed the rear seats and panel.

The bins are more in the way as they are useful for what I need. Having them gone would really make it easier to do what I have planned for the rear of the cab.

Thanks guys. I'll take a look when I get home from work. Only think I have left in the back of my truck is those bins. If I can't get them out, I'm going to build some kinda platform with storage under it in from of the bins.

Want I want to do though is totally remove them and build a platform that take up the entire rear with storage under it. Then add a rear panel with lots of hooks and such.

I like the idea of removing the storage bins to make a platform. heres the platform I made recently to store my fridge. Looking back, I wish I would've built it all the way across. I also like the idea of making one that sits closer to the floor.

That's essentially what I"m going to do. Think of having those bins out of the way, you could really build something cool. A platform with storage under. Maybe add some door to gain access to the storage easily.

By removing the seats and rear panel, I now actually have room for my Doberman to hang out back there. Doesn't look pretty, but will once I finish my project. There is a guy on here selling some really cool molle rear panels that replace the back seat rest panel. I may get one of those, or build something myself similar.

Sounds like some great ideas! make sure you post up some pictures when you finish it up. I might redesign my platform in the near future to something similar

Hmm...Looks like the bins are part of the truck. Notice the metal frame lower left. Unless that can be removed.

Although the proper way to remove it would be to drill out all the spot welds, then you are left with a bunch of holes in the floor to weld up. If you really want it gone, just use your cutting tool of choice (sawzall, air saw, cut off wheel, etc), and cut as close to the floor as you can. Then hammer the remaining metal flat against the floor.

I may do that. Although, I wanted to be able to convert it back to stock incase I ever wanted to sell the truck, although I think this would be much more useful. Conundrums.

F*ck it! Cut that B*tch! LOL I've had moments like that. If it makes you happy, go for it. Just don't blame me if you catch the truck on fire.

you can always use a grinder and cut them out... but then you'd be past the point of no return as far as bringing it back to stock goes.
