Good to see this thread popping back up again,

I have a 2nd Gen Utility Package Access Cab, and thought about measuring the back wall and seeing if installing the back bed wall channel piece would be a slick way to have adjustable hooks and such. I’d get a new one from Mr T. or Amazon but after I pull the back wall and see what the options are for mounting it.

I know there are nuts welded in back there because on my drivers side I marked and drilled holes and have two threaded knobs to hang bags and such on. But want more….

Maybe tomorrow I’ll get to it.

grocery type baskets fit exactly level and support weight across the length of the plywood.
they slide like drawers on carpet back floor.
scrap of plywood on hinge hooks to keep shelf from shifting around.
ended up buying an outdoor lounge chair pad from the thrift store to throw down for the dog
cargo net hangs from bolts/fender washers in factory bolt locations
    not fancy but it works.

    Looks great man,

I don’t think I have that much room between my drivers seat and the rear storage lip, I’m 6’4” though, and yet can’t drive with the seat all the way back! Love the AC trucks.

Anyone else confirm like I did you can put our front seats back further than the DCSB trucks, they hit the rear lower cushion earlier, hahaha!

    Check build thread!
Built my own, budget version. Goes between the seat brackets with an extremely tight tolerance, and rests on the Dewalt toolboxes mentioned in here. Gonna carpet it when I have the time. Total cost? 72 cad, including being cut to fit.

Another successfull install. Kudos to the person that came up with the bed rug and dewalt tool box idea. Saved me a ton of money and looks greatIMG_2271.jpg .

    Nice!

Where did you bought the panel?
    What hardware did you need?
    How did you install it?

I did the same for my Access Cab. I used 5/4 decking to lift the platform on both sides of the cup holder with covered 4x4 cutoffs for support. Deleting one of the 4x4 posts and getting a tool box to fill the void today. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks! It’s no big deal really, just a shelf basically with pieces of wood holding the front up. It works tho!
