Is that track mat exposed foam or carpeted? Hard to see from either your pics of the ones on Amazon.

    Yes. Lol

It’s a hard padded foam material that’s supposed to not absorb water or anything and has a carpet material on top. It’s designed for people to kneel on while working on their vehicles. With the toolboxes underneath I feel plenty confident tossing anything I want to pack in my truck on it.

Basically, yes, you can slide the seat all the way back.

I think I'm going to go with the Dewalt boxes and a covered piece of 3/4" plywood. Thanks for the ideas!

I just tried a Pelican Air 1535 case that I already own & it fit perfectly. I will be ordering another one for the other side (as I need cases with wheels for my work). I probably will go with a Track mat for coverage as well.

What do you guys think about mounting a molle panel between the rear seat backs? It would be cool to create some extra storage that doesn't get in the way of the seats. Has anyone tired something similar?

Thanks, I like the full width ones from the group buy. Am thinking of a small one (around 10"-12" wide) that fits between the seats. I am torn between the two but have never seen pics or heard feedback from someone with a small one.

I found that my roadside kit (holds jumper cables amoung other things) fits perfectly between the two seats. I just throw up some pieces of Velcro so it doesn’t fall out and called it good.

I have a greyman tactical suspended on straps. I am going to move towards a custom sized metal panel that I will hard mount because I have never needed to remove it.

Thanks! That's exactly what I'm thinking. Do you think it makes enough room to be worth it?

I also want a hard mount w/spacers rather than something strapped on. Surprised none of the AC crowd has docloco making them already.
