Access Cab Storage Organization

Those Home Depot totes are 11 1/4 wide. It should allow for the seats to be all the way back if needed.

 

I had to order them from Amazon.ca. The seem very scarce in stores like Home Depot and Lowes. In my 2016 OR AC The seat will not go back to the final notch but that's ok for me at 6'

 

I scored a couple of these at a super great price right before Christmas. Very well built.

This is amazing. You wouldn’t by chance have any type of plans for this would you? This is something I’d really like to do. Did you take out your seats?

I know this is an old thread but it seems to still be active. For anyone looking for the toolboxes it looks like zoro has them for a good price. It says 13 inch case but the specs and model number look right.

it works great. I used those anchors that when they go through, they expand. I have a med kit, and longer light hiking bag mounted.

Took out the back seats yeah. And just kind of made it from the fly with some basics drawings/ideas

 

Do you have build plans you feel like sharing on this?? That is the perfect build

 

I could try to draw something up but just kinda winged it off of an idea in my head. Took a few days to fine tune it all .

 

Any Pics? I want to do something similar.

anyone remove their rear shoulder harness straps? and if so, was there concern for the b-pillar airbag going off?

in my 2011, I just pulled them full out and sliced them with a razor letting the reel , well, reel!

in the 2019, I should really (!) approach this with a greater degree of decorum.

 

Remove the lower attachment bolt and slide the belt buckle through the larger side of the opening. The intact belt will be behind the panel.
Pull the plastic and remove two bolts If you want to completely remove them and save for future use.

Really wish there was something like this for the access cab. Replacing the plastic and locking the storage would be great.

 

I like your minimalist design. I also like the Dewalt tool box idea, but my wife and I both have long legs. It simply wouldn't work. I ride with the seat all the way back.
