Hello TacoHeads! What's everybody using to connect winches and light bars, etc. to their batteries? Any multi-terminal connectors that you would or would not recommend??

Generally you don’t want a winch to go through much if anything. I have mine going through a high amp (600 amp) switch. I got a few lights going through a 30amp fuse which split off to their own fuses. There are considerable more elaborate setups. See Forums: Lighting, Audio Video etc.

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
The Switch Pro is always an option if you're ready to go top of the line. I decided I'd buy it at the beginning of all my mods to reduce rework in the future, and for once I'm actually looking forward to vehicle wiring.

The winch controller already has a switch that operates a relay. Most people just direct wire to the battery, if you are a little more cautious I'd recommend wiring through a switch rated for the winches max amperage. A fuse or breaker in line with a winch is a bad idea not for safety but for reliability of the winch when you need it.
