    thanks for the tip. My 08 had a dead accessory meter. Found that the resistor was just dangling down. The fix worked perfectly!

    I followed the instructions here. It looked like it had already been resoldered once, when I took it out. One of the metal clips was missing, and there was a slight burn mark on the plastic button near the resistors. I soldered and resoldered the 510 resistors a couple of times, and still nothing when plugged in and truck on. I checked the wiring clip to the acc piece and it has power. Any ideas?

    The soldering on the resistors seems to flow over to the ground plane, which would (if the solder mask is breached) short it out. I would try cleaning up the solder; if it were me, I'd desolder both, clean up the pads, and then resolder.
