I had my new-to-me 2006 Tacoma Access Cab detailed. The dummy's at the detail shop broke the door off of the Accessory Power Plug In.

Can anyone inform me how to get the thing out to install a new one? Please?

Get the dummy at the detail shop to pay for the new door and installation at the dealer. I'll bet he will be more careful next time.

I didn't notice it until I got home. He says he didn't do it. Now I have to repair it.

    Any constructive advise?

Mine has been broke for the past 4 years. I gave up on replacing it and usually have something plugged in there anyway. I am curious thoug to see the answer to your question.

12v always on power point mod, tailgate anti-theft, Addl bed tiedowns, flyzeye dash lights, map lites with dome lite mod, bed stiffeners, air bags, brake controller, always on fog lights,
Search the forum, several threads on how to get to it. Maybe remove A/c controls by pulling straight out. Might be able to reach behind and release clips. New door at dealer or salvage yard. Good luck!

You can ... and most likely have to ... purchase a complete 12 volt outlet with cover ... I bought one for my '06 and '10 and pulled the lighter.

OP, where are you located? I'm looking for a good detailer, and want to avoid yours!

Good idea to put your general location on your profile.
