Most are interchangeable. On the H16 application you have to check that the housing has the depth for the longer bulb. H16's have the same base but are a shorter bulb. H9 and H11 for the most part have the same keyed base. H11's will fit in H9 with no issue but there may be fitment issue with H9 going into H11 socket. Usually a little trim. Normally H11's are used for H9 and not the other way.

Retrofitting headlights is the way to go! Ive been building headlights for a long time, and I cant live without HIDs! They are expensive, but its worth it.

I actually have a set that i just finished building that are for sale

LED bulbs aren't going to perform anywhere near on par with HIDs, yet.

Been using this kit for the past month and love it
    http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/UltraCanbusHID

    Bulb: 4500k

with 4500 you get the standard HID look, its not the white/blue like you get with 5000k-6000k

Been running DDM kits in all of my vehicles since 2008 and never had a problem.

Ill post some pictures up later tonight.

Also, when you are running HIDs, please dont go over 35w. Going to 55w is just overkill and way too bright for oncoming drivers.

The 55 watt are brighter. For low beam lights, I believe the 35 watt bulbs are best. My son has the 55 watt bulbs and I just think they are too bright for low beams. 4500k is white not blue, that's why I like it instead of the blue tinted 5500k.

I drove my son's truck and the 55watt 4500k is fine. Nobody flashed me and I could see great with low beams. In the high beams we have regular bulbs.

So is there a general consensus on the best LED bulbs for fogs? It seems like with any LED application, you're going to get a brighter light, but lose distance. Or is there any LED application for fogs that project light further than stock halogen?

Gotta say, on my 17' the low beams are no good for me, they seem like as bright as the DRL LED lights... Gonna convert the fog-lights to LED... Maybe even the HID's soon
