Actual Owners - Report on the Projector Headlights!!

Nice thanks for the link, just ordered 2 sets, one for the Tacoma when it comes in and one for the GFs camry. Searched and got some CREE LED fog light bulbs for both vehicles as well.

Those are much cheaper than the LMZ LED lights

 

Are these meant to go in a projector housing? I'd be leery of their performance in the 2016.

 

I currently have a 2012 Scion tC. Planning on getting a Tacoma this spring. I have the VX3, now LMZ, in the car now. Low, high and fogs. I have no complaints at all except maybe for the price but it's well worth it. Insanely super bright. Also have their V3 Tritons in the brakes and turn signals. Hopefully I'll be able to get those to fit on the Tacoma as well.

 

I agree, from the pictures on this site and the manual, it looks like the VLEDS LMZ's will be an easy swap out.

I was planning on swapping out everything that is incandescent for LED.

I did that on a 2014 Rogue I had and was really happy with how everything turned out, they were great to deal with as well.

Just have to wait until the end of the month when the truck is available in Canada.

 

I'm getting my truck in a month or so and will be trying it out. Seems great through reviews though

 

Can anyone confirm the bulb type for the high beam and fogs on the 2016? The lows are H11 but thats all I can find

Hmm I wonder if the LMZ LED lights will fit. I've always had HID but I am tempted to try these out in the projector lenses

 

H9 for the High Beams.

I would have to search for it, someone put a PDF of the Owners Manual in one of the threads and all the bulb sizes are in it.

No worries, I am kind of waiting for someone else to be the guinea pig on the new LMZ lights before I dive in, although they did lower the price to $150 for the brightest ones. I should have my truck by the time I make a decision

It's a H9 i confirmed it by opening the hood and looking at the manual for high beam. I don't use high beam too much, the HID i have is plenty of bright.

 

I ordered 2 sets of these, they will be here on Monday. One for my truck when it comes in and the other for the GFs Camry. I will post pictures when I get them installed in her Camry since the projector housing is the same as the Tacoma.

I also ordered 2 sets of these for the fogs to match the LED headlights. Installed them last night and they look nice and crisp/clean.

That came out awesome man. Nice color. Looking forward to see the LEDs in the projectors. Getting my truck hopefully end of oct, early nov.

 

Hey man did you get a build date yet? Due to the long bed option a lot of our build dates have been pushed back. Mine is November 7th now :/

 

My build date is supposedly 10/20. I'm in central valley, CA

 

DRJ1014, your fog upgrades look really nice.

Is it obvious that they project more light than the OEM bulbs?
