TPAK, I have not gotten that far to see if they fit by removing the entire housing. I had no specs on the LED fan assy so it's play it by ear until I have them in my hand. Checked my order and they are still on hold but my VLED taillights and loads shipped. You can always research for H9 LED's without a fan unit on the back. They are cheaper(both in cost and manufacturing) and like the 7443 LED's I just got... 1 out of the 4 was DOA.

Sam, I got an email from VLEDs that said the spacing from the back of the collar to the back of the fan is between 1.6-1.8 inches, so they may just barely clear, however headlight assembly may also have to be removed. I pre ordered a pair, now Im just waiting on a truck to put them on

Anthony... Cool, so if the truck is delayed, send those VLED's to me! LOL. Just an FYI, as long as they are under 1.8 then we should be able to angle them in and lock them down.(fingers crossed!)

Truck may be delayed haha, but so are my lights :( looking at a different car buying service to get a better deal on my truck. Current one I found was 2400 under MSRP but has a 599 dealer fee that they may or may not budge on. My company runs with a local buying service that said they should be able to get it for within 100 or so of invoice including all fees. All that would have to be paid is taxes and tags, so I may switch dealers

Yep, been doing a little research. I'll wait to a) get the truck and check the lights out b) see how you guys do c) decide on fan vs no fan - pros and cons to both so we'll see

    thanks

So as I posted earlier, I have installed these LEDs with the projectors of my GFs camry
    http://www.amazon.com/Starnill-LED-...=UTF8&qid=1443238428&sr=1-10&keywords=h11+led

and these in the fog lights
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SZK26T0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01

The install on these in her Camry was very easy. There was enough space (still tight but enough to get my hand down to the lights on the battery side, the washer fluid side I had plenty of room) I am hoping the Tacoma has the same amount of space.

I can compare these to the DDM Tuning HIDs that were previously in there however it is a much more clean crisp look on the road. With the HIDs I had to lower the light level a bit to keep from blinding others but with these I was able to raise the level back to normal and while they may still seem a little bright to oncoming traffic its not as bad as the HIDs. They kind of remind me of a normal LED light such as the new 2015/6 Escalade.

The top light ring is from the fog lights. I need to see if I can adjust them to be level on each side but so far it looks like that is how it is going to have to be since its just held in with clips. Also my driveway is on an incline so you cant get the full feel of the lights in this picture.

The one thing with these lights... There are the little plastic notches that stick out to clip into the cars wire harness clip, but with LEDs they only work one way. The positive and negative needs to be switched in order for the clip to hold correctly but there is no way to remove the clip to turn it so you are forced to just turn the whole coupler. I had to wrap it with electrical tape to keep them from coming unplugged.

    Anthony,
Got my notification today also. So hopefully in a couple days .....so I rechecked and the lows are H11 and Highs are H9. Also my fogs are H11. The VLED Red 7443's work well on the brake and turn signals.

I wont have my truck until next weekend (as long as delivery stays on schedule), but I plan on throwing these in ASAP. As long as they fit and throw light far enough for me to see while driving, I'll be happy. Biggest benefit of the LEDs vs HIDs for me is warm up time and hot strike. Most HIDs take a few seconds to warm up to full brightness and take even longer the older they get, its also not good to hot strike them, which I have a feeling would happen a lot with auto headlights. I plan on taking my HID kit from my 2nd gen and either putting it in the high beams or fogs as long as these fit the lows. Oh and the life expectancy of an LED is far longer than any HID kit out there

Yup, got them but have not had time for any install. Probably work on it tomorrow. From the looks of the fan its going to be real tight(if they fit at all!).

Considering the life span of these I would go as far as removing the headlight housing if it meant getting them to fit lol. As long as they're bright enough I would never have to touch it again!
