I probably leave my vehicles running 90% of the time when filling.

Can I leave my truck running all the time. It's really just to much of a PITA to turn the key. I could leave my garage door open a crack I suppose.

Oil changes might be tricky. So you think I could change the oil with it running as long as I was quick about it?

I bet if you pour it in at the same rate you drain it it would work.

My guess you'd need at least twice the normal volume just to make sure you flush the old oil out.

Ok who's going to try this first?

Why even stop. Hell planes and ships can fuel on the go. Just set your cruise control next to a tanker truck. Crawl through your slider, jump on the tanker and grab a hose. Jump back and fuel your truck. Saves time and no lines...o_Oo_Oo_O :boink:

I used to run a truckstop. Truckers would always idle when fueling. We had huge signs saying shut off motor. I would stop the pumps enough to stop the flow but they could start back up. They come in and say what's wrong.

I would say "the pump has a sensor to shut off fuel if motor is running" lol they would get so mad.

This winter I saw a young guy in a mid-80s regular cab Chevy 4x4 leave it running while fueling then ran into the store to pay. I then noticed he had a toddler in a car seat up front with him.

In south carolina just a bit south of rock hill i was at a gas station letting it fill while i cleaned the windows and that bitch didnt stop and was spewing gas from the hole i had the hose down i went in a pitched a fit, if i had been even standing there monitoring it it still would have spewed on me before i stopped it.

On an unrelated note. A cigerette wont light gasoline on fire.
