New to the Tacoma world, mine is 1 week old. looking to add some LEDs as i had on my Jeep, anyone have ideas on where to put a few switches? It appears there would be room between the current switches on the dash but not sure how to remove that panel and if there are pop outs for switches. Any ideas would be appreciated, looking to add about 4 switches. TRD off road 4x4 so no room at the top due to crawl control.

thanks for the response, trust me , i searched my ass off before posting. maybe didn't use the correct term but definitely didn't want to ask for help, would rather search and move on. dont see much info on taking down the dash.

No worries, haven't busted any balls today so just making the quota. It's just clipped in, one bolt holding in the kick panel and a few clips. Really simple actually

There are a lot of posts hidden in the "what have you done to your 3rd gen" thread but not many tutorials. Most I've seen are around the existing switches. I like the ones with Sasquatch on them, if I were to add lights. Congrats on your truck and welcome to TW!

The first post I wrote has the link to this product, they have a 2 & 3 switch version. It's about $32 and I think we'll worth it.

There's tons of options out there but this might be overkill for the OP. He's looking to add 4 switches and I'm guessing he would like it to look as clean or factory as possible. Here's another kit I almost bought until I found the one in the pic above. I didn't like the idea of drilling into the dash

i like that one, think thats the best way to go to keep a stock/factory look. appears 4 holes and you are set. thanks for the tips everyone. Also, anyone know the best tap to get power when ignition is on. those fuses a small spade so my extend a fuse wont fit. ugh.

Power for the switch? I don't know what wire I t tapped, just used my multimeter and find one post ignition. Can't help much here, but this might help

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wiring-an-aux-fuse-block-relays-and-switches-in-a-2016.401253/

Also, if your planning on that many switches I would recommend building a secondary fuse box like this link. Makes it really easy added accessories and doesn't interfere with the factory system or warranty

I like the trail toys NSA for my switches. You don't get the cool new switches inside the cab, but then thats kind of the point.

thanks for the response, i actually bought the same box he did and made a similar power distribution box, i did this on my jeep , it works out well. i tapped into the micro fuses with a t tap so its just stacking a fuse on another one, just wasnt sure if others found a better way.
