    saw that. was confused what wire he tapped to was it the one ziptied?
    also i was planning to use an add a fuse somewheres with a 5a fuse.

    Think twice about putting it there depending on what it will be used for. I had mine there for my Kenwood, used for a flash drive for music. Ended up taking it out and running cable to glove box cause every time I would put a cup in the cup holder,i would hit the drive. Was afraid of breaking it off.

    I know the iPod connection is but is the USB powered? Or just for data?

    Looks good! I used this mod to add USB ports to the back of the center console for rear passengers I would still like to add more to the front.

    so say i use that same 7.5 fuse slot for the add a fuse for the usb port.
    what size fuse should i use for the 2nd one?
    5amp or 10???

    My bad, thought it was the OP asking about his Kenwood. My Kenwood 9990 has a dedicated IPod-Iphone source(input) that is capable of charging but the USB input is not.

    I used a 5 amp fuse. It was included with the add a fuse.

    I know someone else on here used this model and it fit 2012+

    But it also has a blue light.

    and they said i could wire it directly to the battery on a fused circuit so i would have constant power and wouldnt need the ignition on to charge something.

    only thing is i feel it'd be a pain to route the wires to the engine bay.
