This was a pretty popular mod on the second gens and there are a few threads on this over there, but I haven't seen one here. Figured I'd post mine in case someone had never heard of it. I stumbled on it one day and thought it was ridiculous that I'd never thought of it and that toyota never did it themselves. Here's the second gen thread that explains everything.
