Sweet. Would this be capable with aftermarket units though? Not just OEM. I am a little confused because from your answer it seems like you are saying it doesn't have to be the Entune unit with backup cam already integrated, it can also be a basic OEM unit, as long as it has the same plugs in the back and you can make your non-backup cam unit into one with cameras.

@mCat, for people who would rather not place a monitor on their dash have you considered using these sunvisors with built in monitors? I ask as while my truck already "sticks out" I do try to lower the gadget profile as much as possible to prevent garnering the attention of dirtbags.

Hey guys, just to update everyone, my camera will be here tomorrow as well as some other small pieces so I will be finishing up the install this weekend and will post pics asap. The kit itself I'm not sure about when it'll be ready. I'll ask the guys from camera source if they can give me a time frame as well as better price range.

I thought about that option a while back. I thought it was too much work to add on a second display. The unit I was working with was for the factory radio. That way there's no reason to add on a second display. The backup mirror would probably be a a good way to go if you can get all the other pieces together and use that completely separate from the backup camera display. That would be a lot easier put together from random online stores I'm sure.

Hello all. New here so bare (bear?) with me please. I just bought a 2013 TRD Sport DC V6 4X4, and I already have the rearview camera that displays in the rearview mirror. I just want to add a front camera and use a harness from anyone that would let me add a video input to my non-JBL touchscreen stereo. I would just use the harness with connector to the stereo and add a switch inline on my dash (somewhere convenient) to turn the front camera video on and off. I noticed (from this thread) that camera-source.com has a couple harnesses. One for $69, and one for $269. The $69 one it says just moves the video displayed on the rearview mirror to the stereo, the $269 one seems to have a box of some sort along with harnesses and RCA connectors for 2 additional camera inputs? I'm ok with $69, I am not ok with $269. Can I use the $69 harness to do what I want? Sorry if my post is redundant and this has already been addressed but I have read and re-read this thread throughout the day and I feel like I am just missing something. Figure if I am, someone here would be quick to point it out to me. Love the site and appreciate any help and really appreciate all the effort everyone here gives and I am grateful they post what they have learned...

Wanna Taco, did you happen to buy and try out the $67 kit from aliexpress.com? I can't find the item when searching it on their site at the moment. Sounds like what I wanted though...

@BullSchmidt , No, I only pointed out that the original guy shouldn't take so friggin' long to come up with a harness when one was already available. BTW, the way I did your user name is how you alert someone wherever he is on the site.

That $269 looks to be the kit that I was sent to try out. When I was looking through their website I did not see that kit a while ago. Seems like they are making it already? I sent the pictures to them for the install instructions but have not heard back about group pricing or a final price.

For $269 does it come with a camera or just wire harness? If its just wires, they better ship someone out with it to install it at that price.

That seems to be just the kit. The camera is usually cheap. And it'll vary depending on where you want to mount the cameras. I wouldn't reccomend a lisence plate camera since either you or someone else will smash it with a bumper. He told me that there will be two kits, one for one camera and one for two cameras.

I was only sent a kit. No cameras.
