Yes. But so are the DS9s which also bold right in. Plug and play. Please note that they will overpower the rest of the speakers though.

Some say that the highs are over powered when adding 3-way front door speakers. They might recommend a woofer instead of a 3-way that covers the full audible range. If funds are limited I would recommend buying 4 door speakers and decide if you are happy with them. The 3-way speakers are usually cheaper and do more than a plain woofer and are typically a popular choice for 80-90% of people. You may find the door speakers sound better but want more power. The Kicker 4 channel key amp is a good choice for trucks because it is small and will drive the upgraded speakers. If you want more bass you will need a subwoofer plus and single mono amp. I personally decided on a 5 channel amp and 8" subwoofer, 3 years later after replacing the dash tweeters, front and rear door speakers. The tweeters are nice to have and complete the Kicker system. Again I feel that 80-90% replace the tweeters to have a 100% upgraded audio system. The 2020+ head unit works well and has enough output to feed any amp. Some head units can't output enough audio to be clipped by an amplifier. Also your head unit allows you to change vehicle setting. In most cases if you replace the head unit you can't access those settings any more, the steering wheel control no longer work or you have to install a microphone for voice commands. The Kicker tweeters are excellent quality, easy plug and play and complete the audio upgrade. Your truck, no peer pressure, upgrade what you want and enjoy using it.

That last part is not totally true . If you have an aftermarket head unit with the maestro RR everything works and then some . Plus the signal going to the amp with a good head unit is always much better . I have a Pioneer head unit and it works and sounds amazing.4 channel amp and a sub amp.
50x4 And 400 x1 . Very clean and clear sound

they have been slowly ditching their ICE power/variable voltage rails, which somewhat miffs me. one of the initial draws to their lineup was that their amps put out rated power at any ohm load...

Yea the head unit part isn’t true depending on what head unit you’re looking at getting. I spent like $260 for a head unit on crutch with the wiring harness to allow me to keep my controls, backup camera, etc.

There’s actually some headunits that don’t need that. I ended up using the Crux wiring kit that Crutchfield offered and had no issues with it

For anyone considering upgrading to the awesome Subaru KICKER tweeters (H631SFJ101) there is a 20% coupon code (HDY22) available to use at subarupartswarehouse.com. They are great speakers and I have used them in 3 Tacomas. The total price is now $75 including tax. There may be a shipping or pickup handling charge added at checkout.

The Kicker tweets are probably the cheapest/easiest thing you can do to improve sound quality. I did this in my WRX I had, and just did it in the Tacoma. Really helps with phone call clarity as well, which is a big plus for me.
