Adding Lights need some advice

So the plan is to add wheel well lights and door handle lights to my 03 double cab. I want them to flash when i hit the lock and unlock button. but not come on when the lights are on and when the dome light is on. How can i go about doing this?

Use a relay that is energized when the truck is on. Wire your new lights through the normally closed contacts on the relay.
