    Hey TW, id just like to point out something I’ve noticed. After the addition of the like button, the community has gotten less chatty and more isolated.

    People used to drop a quick comment or chime in and now they just smash that like button and don’t engage further in many cases.

    Just my $0.02 and that’s probably all it’s worth.

    Would agree the forum has changed quite a bit, but not sure because of that change.

    I joined TW a year ago and the “like” button was already implemented.

    When +1 rep was a thing, when did it make the switch and was there a voting poll to change it?

    Or was it something the TW staff decided to change in order to keep up and familiarize with how social media sites/apps are today, i.e. Facebook, Instagram...

    Rep was drama because you could add a note.
    So you’d get a message like “tcBob left you negative rep: “you’re a dumb fuck and I hate you.”

    People would ask for rep, since it was visible under your avatar.

    So basically now if someone posts and doesn’t get a like, it’s a dislike. People do shit for likes, solely. On the other hand, like said.. it’s nice to see people thanked for posts without 20 (or in TWs case, several hundred) replies saying so.
