Recently ended up in stopped traffic behind a second gen with a hitch ball on the bumper step - and a box hitch showing below. Sorry no pics. Is this possible with the factory towing hitch? Or maybe aftermarket?

Took a look at my 014 when I got to work and there is only a little room there for a washer and nut.

I towed a utility trailer on the bumper once 20 years ago. Ended up mangling the trailer tongue on a back up jacknife. Just sayin’.

Using using the bumper hitch won't be a problem, 55 years of practice. I just like the idea of a quick hook-up by having a ball already in place. For a serious purpose the existing box hitch will be fine. Moving a compressor or mixer on a job site is what I have in mind.
