Currently I have a 2010 Tacoma trd Off road 4x4 6spd manual trans. I do a lot of towing, pulling 24' travel trailer. I already have a trd eaton supercharger, trd catback, urd 2.85 pulley, jba equal length headers, spectre cai, qtp 4" cutout, 18lb light weight flywheel, pro clutch stage 2 clutch set, wilwood 2 piston calipers, ceramic pads, drilledslotted disks, trailer brake controller, and just ordered a snow stage 1 methanol/water injection kit. Is there any other parts that could be added to improve low and mid range torque, also I've read the stock internals on the 4.0 v6 are good to about 400hp. What do I need to change out above 400hp? I sit at 382 on premium but that was before adding the water/meth kit so I'm pretty close to the 400 mark. Thanks gents. Semper Fi.

The whole goal is to not buy a new truck. Manual trucks are far and few so I'd like to keep mine. If this post doesn't workout I may just sell it and get a f250 diesel...

If you really need 400 horses you need a V8 truck. These are not meant to have 400hp. Even if you heard the internals can handle it, that doesnt mean they can. Either sell it and get a truck that makes sense for someone wanting 400hp or do an engine swap.

    They can. That's ~8psi on a GT35R turbo setup, with ~450 wtq.

Not sure how you're getting 382whp with, long tube headers, CAI, and a 2.85". Just doesn't fit the consensus, especially without a tuning ems, or other mods. No offense meant.

Add a 2.7, 2.6, or 2.55. Add a y-pipe. In the near future the UCON will be available for individual purchase. Those combinations will push it to 400 whp.

Since you have meth, you are readily protected against detonation.

Next would be rods and pistons, for a simple budget friendly strength upgrade.

The Garrett Turbo I mentioned out flows the trd s/c quite a bit per psi.

Unless something has changed with JBA, i do not believe they make an equal length header like URD's. Which is a true equal length header.

That is also a considerable low torque, and whole rest of the rpm range, upgrade. Versus thw long tube headers which have the biggest gains in the middle.

I would direct you to the F/I dyno database link, in my Sig. However, XRU is down, so time to copy and paste when it gets back up.

What is the UCON? I have an aggressive tune on it that only lets me run premium.

The 1st and 2nd cylinder exhaust port are longer than the rest. The 5th and 6th are looped to be the same length as the 3rd and 4th. They started life as shorties, but I had them rewelded when I had the upstream cats swapped over
