I’m holding out for a less charged/more fun thread that I have no opinion on. It’s still early. Fingers crossed!

How does Mat always get in arguments with insignificant individuals who play on his emotions?

When you got pride in your work, it is hard to swallow someone ragging on it with baseless info?

I agree, the man has done an incredible job and should be proud of his work. I did have to explain to our IT guy the other day why I was flagged for running OVTune software on my work laptop. Lol

Haha! I was happy that at my last job, I was the IT manager. At this place, no one really cares as long as someone doesn't break something.

I worked at a couple places were shit was locked down tight. It was hard even getting legitimate work done.

This is the biggest problem with Matt. I even had a war words with Matt, and if we both handled it better it wouldn’t have got to the point that it did.

But the product is great and I think it’s worth every penny. I haven’t even updated my MT to 2.0 yet.

    great product!

    Reckless practices..
I lived through aftermath of ransomware. Thousands servers and 10's of thousands PC/laptops had to be re-imaged to get 24/7 production going. Millions $ lost, asses got hang. 3 weeks of sleep deprivation..

Watch out guys we got a professional here..

Getting paid to do something might make you a professional, but it doesn’t mean you’re good at it..

I gagged at just about every comment you posted. Uninformed opinions make me nauseous. Tell me, do you make all of your decisions from a stance of practical ignorance?

Why do you feel the need to perpetuate false information under the pretense that you’re some sort of authority?

You’re forgetting about reputation and trusted sources. OV Tune would be considered a trusted source with a good reputation. Virus signatures are brittle and prone to false positives. If you were a good “professional” you might understand that.

Let me know if you have any other ill-conceived notions; I may be able to help you wade through your vast ocean of knowledge and experience and help you come to a passably intelligent opinion.

Lol I dropped my truck off two weeks ago and realized the SSP was still hooked up. They didn’t say anything tho. Do you find with the Ovtune you do not need the SSP anymore?

This shit show right here is one of the reasons people ask the same questions in new threads. I just wasted my time reading through 117 posts for a reasonable explanation and answer to the OP question and nothing other than "I love it" or "your software is a virus" BS.
Can someone please state what this does for the ridiculous shifting of the transmission in my AT 2020 Sport? I got rid of my 17 limited after only 4 months because of it. The 2020 is better but still needs help. I thought this was where I was going to find some answers. I only plan to run the 87 not some high performance setup. So how's this helping me?

OEM Taco shifting has gotten better over the years, but it’s still not great. The latest iteration of VFTuner has allowed lots of folks on here to do their own tuning of shift points and throttle responses. $750 is a whole lot cheaper than a truck swap.

    Things that members are doing:
    • Changing shift points
    • Increasing allowable throttle per accelerator angle (Toyota artificially limits it)
    • Changing torque converter lock & unlock points
    • Upping battery charge voltage for those AGM batteries.
    • Gearlocking.
There are a few other things too, but the above are the major goodies.

You could just buy the kit and and cable and skip the tune pack first. Try one from one of the guys sharing files on here and see what you think. Make sure you can get that file in your truck’s ecu first though.
