Adventures of the Low Range Off-Road Solid Axle Swapped 2004 Tacoma Double Cab

I missed out on most of the early adventures with this truck but I have sure had fun with it in the last couple years.

This thread will be updated as the rig is changed and wheeled

Current set up and pic.
SAS . Trail Gear Rock Assault Axles with 5.29s and E lockers front and rear. Inchworm Gear 4.7:1 "Lefty" Transfercase. 35 inch BFG KM2's, All-Pro rock sliders and rear bumper. Lowrange build front bumper. Warn 10000 Lb Winch with Duraline synthetic rope. SuperSprings SumoSprings bump stops.

Okay so that was the only one not from an Email. I will get it fixed after I go build this Taco Crawl Box.

 

Hopefully I fixed the pictures in the 1st post.

 

The LROR Taco can be spotted in the back ground of this picture photo bombing his brother ( Chris Conk owner of the blue 87 pickup) at Mickeys Hot Tub on Hells Revenge trail , Moab 2011?

Looks like the Taco was sporting a bed rack and RTT for awhile. And got a Toyota badge for the grill.

 

I was hoping to find some build pics but maybe they do not exist.

The Lowrange Double cab made a friend his brother bought a double cab also. Both on 35 inch tires white one with Solid axle swap. Silver was a 4x4 converted prerunner and went with IFS


Another friend/ Co-worker with a Double Cab Tacoma joined for this trip also!

Boss took it out this weekend and introduced some of his friends to rock crawling and let them drive it around a bit. He only got a couple crappy pics. but here they are.

 

I dropped by today for a few goodies and couldn't help take a picture or two before leaving. If I'm available I may drop in for the next show n shine or catch you guys on the trail.

 

Looks awesome. I plan on doing this with a 96 Tacoma as a father-son build in a few years. Are you running the stock rear axle?

 

Would be fun to hit a trail! I have not been out to Little Moab for a couple years. I feel like it's too hard not to destroy a rig out there haha so many cool lines to try.

I'm impressed you were able to recognize little Moab off just one picture. I didn't go too crazy out there since I daily my Tacoma. A jeep that was with us was doing most obstacles until he broke a suspension link.

 

Lol I'm a nerd like that . I think the wife and I are taking my buggy and Geo Tracker out to 5 mile Friday.
