I've been looking over and over through old threads and what not for help, but it seems each truck and person is different so I thought I would just make my own and see what advice along with information I could get.

I have a 2015 TRD off-road DCSB 2wd. I didn't see myself doing this so soon, but I got hooked up on some new wheels so I figured I would just do everything at once. My overall plan since I got the wheels is to put some BFG A/T ko2 265/75/16s on with black TRD trial team wheels after I put a set on Bilstein 5100s in the front.

Basically, I'm having an issue deciding between the .85 or 1.75 setting. I'd like to make it level. Beyond this I'm not looking to do anything more or get crazy with a lift and spend a lot of money. For what I am looking to do, this seems like the best option for the price. I get this is a subject that has been touched on a lot so I apologize to bring it up again, but just looking for advice on the setting and pics of trucks who have done either .85 or 1.75 setting in the front while keeping the rear stock. Thank you!

take measuring tape.... measure front wheel to fender, and measure back wheel to fender.

If difference is greater than 1.75in set at 1.75in... otherwise set at .85.

Honestly though, keep some rake, a level truck is cool n all untill you go to use it like an actual truck with weight in the bed, then you have a truck with a saggy ass and headlights that blind everyone.

    I agree. I would suggest .85.

I dont kmow about you but 4x4 alone doesn't at all mean im using like a truck. I am an electrician and I work out of my truck on a daily basis hauling big ladders like 16 foot up to 32 foot extension ladders and have the bed of my truck filled most of the time, I get shit gas mileage because of all the weight in my truck constantly and I confirm that is being; using my truck.
Not that camping and some trails are not. Love me some outdoors in remote not fireroad access areas.

I've had mine at both settings. @ .85", I had 1" of rake. At 1.75", I had the truck dead level (at least when measured from hub to fender). I think the rear fender wells must be cut higher on the truck though, because when it was "level", I measured from ground to the bottom of cab at the front, and rear of the cab. The rear of the cab sat slightly lower when @ 1.75", with no help in the rear.

I have since added a 2" AAL, and have the factory rake back (rear 2" higher than the front)

It is a preference thing. But as was previously mentioned (at 1.75" with only stock springs in the rear), if you haul any thing in the bed, it will sag. Under normal conditions (without anything in the bed) the front end will still be pointed higher, therefore if you do go this route, you will need to adjust your headlights, to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

Thank you for some great feedback. Based on my research so far from everything .85 is a safer and good way to go and with 1.75 you will get that slight pointed setting. I eventually plan to get bakflip cover to keep a few work clothes and gear in the bed of the truck.

1.75 in the front will give you that bro lean and you'll blind everyone, however putting a 1in block or a 1.5" AAL kit makes it perfect.

You don't want the .85 setting because its not high enough of a lift. You'll end up not satisfied and go higher.

Make sure the alignment guys align your truck right, give them the specs you want and not the specs they will probably dial it to because they set it in the green and call it good, which is sometimes never the right settings. Goodluck.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the "not high enough statement". I really enjoy the .85 look on my truck. I placed take-off OEM springs on the front when I installed the billies. I ended up having to install an inch block in the rear to make it level. Here's a few pics

Ht, can you explain more about the alignment? I got my 5100's installed about 3 weeks ago and I expected to go get an alignment but I didn't because the Truck drives smooth and straight. It doesn't pull. I got the 5100's installed only. Still have stock coils and stock everything else. Mine are at the .85 setting. Like I said, I don't think it needs an alignment because it drives straight. Should I still get one?

You would need him to tell you for sure, but it sounds like his springs are not stock. That definitely doesn't look like stock springs @ .85". It looks more like what stock springs would look like @ 1.75", or maybe even 2.5".
