What offset are you looking at for the 17’s?

to be honest, i am not well-versed in this but i essentially want the tire riding centered up. i wouldnt prefer that it rides outside of the frame of the truck so fairly close to stock.

Just went up to 17s and put 265/70 Falkens but they rubbed, so went down to 265/65 Falken and no rubbing.
    Here is what I ordered:
Fuel Wheels Blitz Gloss Black Milled 6-Lug Wheel; 17x9; -12mm Offset (16-23 Tacoma)
    Falken Wildpeak All-Terrain Tire (265/70R17)
Again these did rub so went down 265/65R17

I’m running 0 offset on my 16 inch Method 704’s which are 8.5 inches wide compared to stock which I believe is 7.5 wide. Going up to 265/75/16 I have about 1/2 inch of poke with no rubbing whatsoever. Staying as close to 0 offset seems to cause less rubbing issues, plus going up one size netted me 1/2 inch of lift.

They discontinued Duratracs???? That's a shame, as they are the most aggressive...

Best weight/strength/price around and customer service is worth being a return customer every time.

so i ended up getting tires and rims the next day (yesterday) after work, across the street at Discount Tire. i went with Goodyear Ultraterrains 265/70 R17. so i did step it up. they did a fit test and i was clear everywhere. the only spot where it was truly close on full turns was the plastic guard in front (low) of the front tire. then i got vision rims. i was gonna go elsewhere for rims but they were a decent deal and i got to get it all done at once. not to get all into the economics but financially speaking, they also let me do 12 month 0% interest on the whole kit and caboodle.
NOTE: first image is the day i got it, the second (from the side) is yesterday.

I just did ridge grapplers on my 2nd gen. Hands down a better tire than the wilpeaks and they were only 10 dollars more per tire. No weird vibes on the highway and I didn't have to have the dealer road force balance them.
