I'm looking to get an exhaust system meaning complete from y-pipe to the end. Options so far are:

    TRD catback exhaust
    Banks monster exhaust
    Magnaflow catback exhaust

I've been on Youtube past week trying to find a decent vid of each, but I know videos never do justice to the sound of things and light output on lightbars or stuff. I'm planning on getting the TRD supercharger with the TRD CAI and the Doug Thorly Long Tube headers with the URD MAF plus MAP sensor. So I don't want the heavy droning exhausts that make it sound like a tractor nor do I want it sounding like a cheap 4 banger civic. I trying to find that deep throaty sound during idle, but not that big drone where you're driving down the road and its making you almost yell to talk to your passengers. Any suggestions??

The same shit everyone else has.
I love my TRD catback. At idle, its a hair louder. Driving its a hair louder than stock as well. It does not drone on the highway.

Don't get the Toyota CAI with a sc. It causes issues.

Over the years I've used Flowmaster, Supersprint, Pacesetter, Leistritz, Bosal, Thermal R&D, HKS, RS-R, Borla, Magnaflow, Greddy...I keep going back to Borla. I like their mufflers for custom setups, and their cat-backs. The cat backs are usually a little pricier, but I've always been happy with them. Stainless, million mile warranty, no drone, not too loud, just right.

I've got the URD catback and y-pipe. I like the sound. Helps airflow too for when you get that supercharger. 3" piping

I had the Banks on my 07.
Magna flow off-road on the 14.
The Banks is much more civilized.
The Magna flow is the shorty, off road. Dumps before rear axle.
It is much louder, annoying than anticipated in traffic.
Bad ass, when stomping it, though.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not fully committing to the banks system just yet. I was told I can can stop by micheals toyota of Bellevue and can check out one of their Tacomas that has the trd catback which I'm planning on doing. I also like the sound of the aero turbine 2525xl but that's not an entire system. Here's a clip of an x runner that's supercharged and has dtlt headers with the aero turbine 2525xl exhaust. http://youtu.be/vbZ2eiJIIpU

I have the 2525 with an add in resonator on my truck. Same username on youtube if you're interested. There's a little bit of a progression, all mods are listed in the description. I like it, but admittedly it is pretty loud.

I seen your videos. :) that's what made me look into the 2525 a little more. Realized it wasn't a full system.

If you do the DT headers, why not go with DT y-pipe(that has a resonator) and the 3" URD exhaust?

Lol, guess I wasn't clear enough. I haven't used those on this truck alone. I've used all those brands over the years on different vehicles.

Either way I'm getting the dtlt headers. Not sure about y-pipe just yet, but after hearing the URD 3" I think that option has replaced the magnaflow.

I just had a MBRP Cat Back Dual system installed on my new 2015 Tacoma & the "drone" sound, when accelerating up hill, was too much for me (I really like my customized stereo cranked up to AC/DC). Tried adding a "pre muffler" resonator, but it too SUCKED so tomorrow she's headed to Custom Exhaust Shop to try "option B" (not really sure what that is but I'm leaving it up to my Exhaust Guy as he stated NO CHARGE). Will advise what I settled on.

    Loud as hell URD exhaust!
You do realize that the URD 3" comes with a magnaflow muffler.
