I'm in the process of looking for a 'newer' model taco, I'm thinking 2009 and up. 4dr TDR Sport LB!! Man I love that style taco!!!
I'm wondering several things and would appreciate any help, advise or opinions anyone will offer!

1) Is there much difference between said years in terms of reliablity or any major changes either mechanical or otherwise? In my research I haven't found anything to push me to any year really, only price...

2) The two colours that I have narrowed my search to are Timerland Mica and MGM. My question is does the TM show dirt easily? I had a truck several years ago (Dark blue) that would show soap stains immediately after washing. That enoyed me to no end!!

This truck is expected to be with me for many years and I want to do as much research as possible before I spend alot$$$.

No notable differences in model years to make you consider one over the other. Go w/ the one you get the best deal on, assuming it's optioned the way you want it.

No idea how TM shows dirt, but then again, its a truck, and these things look just as good dirty as they do clean.

It's annoying after you spend the time washing it, it still looks like S$%t! Then again, Tacos don't ever look like S%$t...

umm auto LSD in the 09's with a mechanical LSD in the older 2nd gens i believe, other than that no, i saw a TRD sport LB in TM and it looked TERRIBLE, idk about what your plans are for lifts but it looked extremely low to the ground, on the other hand, the magnetic grey looked amazing, its my favorite color other than silver, just my .02, good luck with your buy!
