Just wondering if anybody has had a 6" Procomp lift on their trucks and thought about what to do. Not trying to go super expensive, but want to avoid all the drive shaft problems etc. associated with the lift. If anybody has done something like this any advise helps. I have had a guy locally in Colorado that constantly tells me to do OME and take out the block lift in the rears and multiple spacers on the front to get to 6". Thanks!

I bought the truck the way it is now, so I'm not sure quite what the guy did before me, I am honestly trying to figure out how big of a headache its going to be and how much it is going to cost me just to be able to get it to a height that isn't going to ruin the truck so fast.

I think since you already have a drop bracket there is no lowering it. To remove the spacers you gotta get shocks/springs that make up for the extended length.

Alcan leaf springs for the rear to take out your blocks, and either rcd/bilstein 5100 shocks or king, icon, fox 6" coilovers to get rid of spacers in front

Edit: if you really want to get rid of it, it can be done. There is even a drop bracket anonymous thread for it. But it will take cutting, new/fab crossmember, and misc oem parts.

These threads will give you some

Dang. I guess what I don't know is what is required to do in order to put on the Procomp lift and have to figure out what I will have to do to basically reverse in order to get it back to stock, then lift it from there. Also, I'm kinda ballin' on a budget. In college trying to pay it off while I'm trying to fix it. The struggle is very real.:(

I'd say just keep the lift you have but replace the cheap part that make the ride rougher. Replace rear spring (possibly front too) and put extended shocks all around. I think the bilstein 5100s would work. From there just maintain the truck. Reverting from a drop bracket back to stock would probably cost more due to needing additional fabrication at this point.

    6" Procomp Lift on 325/65/R18
@scottalot you're right about needing to cut out the crossmember in order to get the front diff in the right location with the 6" lift. I guess that I have two options in this position. 1. Sell the truck and try to get my money out of it. 2. Keep it the way it is and replace the block in the rear with just leafs that are about the same height. The fronts i want to go to a coilover that is able to just fit in, not have all these spacers. That being said, remember people I'm seriously ballin on a budget, aka $1200 for just front Icon shocks/coils aint happenin. So do i need to just save my money, collect parts and do it one piece at a time? Budget is probably $1500 for right now. Any ideas guys?

I have a pro comp drop bracket and want to get my truck back down to a manageable height. A slight lift, no lift, doesn’t matter to me. Just bought it last week and need it as an additional work truck. What’s my best route to go? I have 4” spacers on front and 3-3.5 blocks in back.

Probably need to replace your crossmember since it was cut and welded for the drop bracket lift.

Thanks for the suggestion. Ive researched a cross member and they run about $150 (aftermarket)That’s just for the cross member. Is the pro comp cross member the only thing that has to be replaced? In addition to taking out the spacers.
