This is a place for Ex DB owners and those who are considering a Drop Bracket lift. If you want to know the Pros and Cons from people who have owned or still do own a DB lifted truck, this is the place to ask questions.

    Thread rules:

This will not be a dick measuring contest like most other threads.

We are here for fun and general shenanigans! Not to make someone feel horrible about decisions on THEIR truck.

    Have fun and enjoy!!

If I was to guess, they are to keep the whole fucking DB from being bent back to the rear. (Damn it...now I'm looking at how I could weld in a new cross member. This is all you guys fault! :frusty:

Ryan here has probably beat his DB the most. Poor guy nuked an LCA at MOAB just a few months ago.
He has also cracked a cross member and destroyed his compression struts

I must say great idea OP.

Keep the 6" lift thread open for mall wheeling adventures

    Hi all. Great idea Jon/Aaron.
I beet the shit out of my db also but only broke ring gears and those shitty struts thingys. I'm sure I world have broke an lca or 2 but I had those beefy lcas from LSK. I spent way too much money building the db lift.
I'm not here to bash db's but I'll be honest if you ask me a question about em

Definitely looks, and im not worried about clearance as curbs/sidewalks are only about 10 inches high lol what i do like about the db lift i have is that it is covered under lift shield warranty offered by pro comp. so, no moab meets or boulder crawls for me because its for looks (for the most part) similar to how i used to slam the shit out of my 5.0s, again for looks and not for scca technical tracks...

What can you pull off the truck and swap over? Is it worth it?

I'm guna talk to the dealer an see what I can work.
The truck has a leveling kit
    methods 265/75/17 pretty new Falkins
    A TRD SC
    6 speed

As far as swap over stuff really not much.
    Maybe tail lights
    Stuby antenna
I would actually see about swapping my methods for the ones on the truck.
(Same ones the NVs but they are machined metal not black.)
I'm attempting to sell my bumper with the flush mounts if not I'll see about swapping that too.
