After quite a bit of research and clip watching I have settled on these three mufflers. I was interested in people's experience with either one over the long run and why you went with the muffler you did. How much did it cost to have installed, drone/rasp experience, mpg and hp increase or decrease, etc. Looking to get one of these soon because my stock muffler has rusted through causing a hole which makes an annoying drone.

    This and that...
I just sold my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with an Aero Turbine 2525 and will most likely be purchased again for my 2014 Tacoma that was just bought. I loved it on the Jeep and I suspect that it will work well with the Tacoma, both being 4.0. The sound was good and throaty at idle and made is self know from stop light to stop light. On the highway or cruising at lower RPM's it settles down nicely not to interfere with my music on any level. If it dropped gears on the highway you would hear it again of course. In park the high revs could be compare to NASCAR type of sound, with of course the volume of a 4.0. I don't claim to be a scientist, but to have a more free flow of exhaust with the turbine effect seems like it would allow the vehicle to breathe a little easier then a lot of baffles. Also, the design being rounded on the ends decrease it catching on rocks if you are low on clearance. The dealer did mentioned that the 2525XL would be better for the Tacoma, maybe due to the Straight 6 vs the V6... Hope this helps.

Thank you very much! An answer like this is exactly what I was looking for. I actually decided on the Aero last night and I'm currently in the process of finding someone to install it for a good price. Thanks for your reply!

No worries. Post a clip of the sound when you can. It seems that its lacking in this forum. Plus they tend to put them too close to the exhaust and blow the sound quality. I think I need tires, lift, then muffler... Can't wait to hear the engine again though. I miss that sound.

I have the aero. It's fantastic. Sound is good. No rasp, no drone.

Don't know if any of y'all still care, but decided to do a little update. I ordered from Diesel Power products to save a few bucks and for free shipping. A couple of days after I ordered I received an email stating that the ship date was set for June 7th. Fine with me because I was in no rush. That day came and passed so I decided to email them back and ask on any further updates with my order. They said that there was a backorder directly from the manufacturer, so we will see what happens.

They responded back just now saying that it will be about two more weeks. I can't wait until it gets here!

Not yet. Have emailed back and forth with Diesel Power Products, they get the muffler directly from the manufacturer and it has been on backorder for awhile. The lady said that it should be any day now that it ships out.

A little frustrating considering how long ago I ordered it, but as long as it's here by the end of July I'll be happy.
