you will love it man. i'm not sure exactly what a 10 series sounds like but, if it sounds anything like a 40 or just a louder version of a 40 series your going to love this aero turbine.

mine sounds almost exactly like my flow master with a more refined sound and no drone going on which was kind of a bummer on the flow master. also i noticed the aero sounds way better at idle a lot of rumble going on now. i couldn't be happier more than a few guys have said these things are the best sounding mufflers for the 6 cyl tacoma and i have to agree plus they work like gang busters on the 2.7 as well.

Is there a difference in sound if you put the resonator in front or back of the non-resonated aero?

Depends on how the resonator is contructed. How it affects the oscillations of the exhaust waves.

I would tend to say yes. Are you willing to pay to swap them around to test both, and is it worth it? Porbably not.

Either way, it should sound good regardless.

I have my vibrant resonator after my Aero Turbine, which is also resonated.

yes the sound changes as the muffler breaks in. the aero turbine is typically around 6 months. it makes the sound better.

cool i never knew that especially with the aero since there is no packing to break down or anything i thought it would remain the same sound.

either way all the praise you guys have given this muffler and the sound clips have spurred my purchase and they really are the sweetest ones for our trucks.

i really need to make a sound clip showing what it sounds like. in a few days i post up in the muffler thread.

This is true. Turbo does change the sound a tad. ;) Once I get my engine back, and broken in, am will have to get a good sound video of my exhaust. After watching exhaust Coupe's video, I feel that his placement of the GoPro is perfect. On the rear quarter panel, above tire and near the tail light.

If you want me to post the link to his videos, I can.

I've got a 2525 and the aero resonator. If i get around to doing it I'll but the res in front.

I'm just a bit worried that it would be a bit loud in the cab, i've been doing a lot of long distance drives.

Been thinking about doing for a long time, I just don't have time to do it.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
Does the size of the exhaust piping really matter? knowing this will help me to decide to keep the 3030XL I have or to still try and sell it local.

Back at the muffler, not really.

I'd just get two 2.5 to 3.0 adapter and install the muffler you have

Factory catback tubing diameter (unless changed on the '12+ models) is 2.25". So multiple reducers would be needed, unless you go to a muffler/performance shop.

My bad, I was thinking the stock exhaust was 2.5in!

2 reducers would work, just make sure your overall length is ok. Either way, the further from your exhaust port, the less restriction matters
