Anyone have any experience or feedback on the Aero Turbine exhaust? I'm intersted in throwing one on my '07 Prerunner 4.0L, but dont know too much about the company other than the few reviews i have read online and on their site. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Yeah its:

    www.aeroexhaust.com

They reccomend the 2525 muffler for the tacomas with a 2.5" inlet/outlet. All polished muffler. They also offer a resonated version, the 2525XL, for those who prefer that build. I really have found very minimal review as for tacoma performance, but a lot of the V8 and diesel guys have nice things to say about it. I plan on giving the muffler a shot in the near future.

Xrunner05 over on XRU runs them with a true dual setup. Ive heard it in person and its sounds mean. a little raspy for me, but not bad. A totally different sound than anything else ive heard.

What is the big difference in the resonated and non-resonated versions?

Im guessing just a quieter exhaust note? thats the only difference in their description. other than that, im not too sure exactly. If you opted for the non resonated version up front and then wanted to switch over, they make a seperate resonator you can throw in line.

So it has been a while since posting on this thread, but i just got my Aero 2525 installed the other day. It sounds great! i really like the sound, but it is a bit on the loud side so im told. There is not too much interior drone when at cruising speeds and i hardly notice it when i have the radio on. I cant give any say on any HP/MPG gains cause i didnt dyno or anything, but i really like the sound i get from it. The guy at the muffler shop had never installed one before, but was impressed with the sound. IMO two thumbs up.

Did you go with the resonant or non-resonant version?

I went with the non resonated version. I got it on eBay for 125 and had a buddy from a muffler shop weld it on for me. i think i payed 150 when i was all done. Kinda much for a muffler, but i like it so im happy.

To be honest i have no idea what the difference in tone is because i have never heard a resonated set-up. My guess is a quieter note [i believe that is how it is described on the website].

As for finding the 2525 on the website, i am having such luck as you are. I cannot find it on the site, but i bought my muffler on eBay. they had quite a few 2525 for sale for just under MSRP. I would look there first.

I have installed one on a 97 3.4L Taco and thought it was kinda loud, but thats simply my opinion, the guy who owned the truck had me remove it and install a magnaflow a few months later...
