many here would much rather bash something and give the OP shit than contribute
to the thread or hell, just move on if they have nothing to offer, most threads are like
    this now here.

Nice OP. I'm glad you're happy with your mods. I'm the same way in I can't leave vehicles stock. Happy modding.

Do about 5 minutes of searching on google and you will see. Throttle body spacers are pointless on port injected / direct injected vehicles....

Why didn’t Toyota install this if it works?

Why didn't toyota put a lot of things on our trucks? Just because toyota didn't put it on, doesn't mean things can't be improved.

I worked a 4wd for a while when these were becoming popular. Placebo or not people liked them. That's all that really matter. If OP felt a difference then it was worth his money.

The whistle isn't a leak. That's the spacer.

These spacers have been around for a long long time. If it really was beneficial... it would cost little to nothing to install or even build in a bigger spacer on the throttle.

The whistle is the Venturi effect. Probably has it stock too, just can't hear it well with the sealed intake box. After I put a K&N on it(no spacer) it Sounds like a damn turbo.

I'm going to jump on the K&N hate train too. I wouldn't put one of those on an engine I cared about. I bought the hype with my off-road Jeep and there was a continuous film of fine dust on the downstream side of the air intake. And if that wasn't bad enough it takes 2 days to properly clean one of those bastard filters. Day one is spent washing, rinsing and letting it dry. Day two is spent dabing oil onto the mesh. If you hurry any step then you'll over oil the filter and mess up the MAF sensor. It is a weekend job and a pain if you need to drive the vehicle.

Well, first off I'd be able to hear the difference, but I suppose what you mean is that I wouldn't be able to feel the difference in driving performance to which I say... maybe. I dunno. But with this and my new exhaust I actually enjoy driving the truck which is something that I didn't do before. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Enjoyment?! Next thing you're going to tell us is you don't decide what to eat solely based on macro-nutrients analysis or some other such nonsense ;)

Got a 3 inch MBRP exhaust that I cut at the wheel. TURN DOWN!

It’s pretty cool, but probably too ricey for most.

Had a buddy that was an atv/dirt bike mechanic he told me 90% of the dirtbikes and 4wheelers that came in with low compression or oil burning problems had k&n air filters on them. Hardly ever happened with a more restrictive stock style filters. But the k&n filters do flow good.

Let me be a little more clear: Do I think this gave the motor more power than what it has on tap stock? No.

Can I feel the engine delivering that power better based on the input from my foot? Yes, I think I can. I don't seem nearly as annoyed with the daily driving as I used to be.

This is why I stay away! Didn' like the name calling and the belittling. There' enough negative in the world to NOT have to deal with it on a site people come to for enjoyment and education. Sorry to jack the tread. Peace out..

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Lmfao... love it when people say this.

Why didn't Toyota make frames that don't rust, or ball joints that didn't need to be recalled, install Bilstein 5100s at the factory, or make wheel wells that aren't just bearly bigger than the tires... or any number of things.

So I suppose your truck is bone stock right? Because if Toyota didn't do it, I guess you don't need a lift kit, aftermarket shocks etc.

So if Toyota does everything that needs to be done to our trucks... why are any of us even here?

Yeah but that would make throttle response worse, not better. Anybody understanding the difference between a carburetor and EFI can tell you hear things are completely effing useless (actually, in fact, detrimental) when paired with EFI.
And for forced induction you're much better off increasing the size of the throttle body rather than swirling around the air because that creates turbulence and what you want is a linear high volume flow of air
